Good Morning Chatham!!!
So its Saturday. Some of you may have decided to start today, while others will begin tomorrow. If you are beginning tomorrow, you may take this day to start winding down your palate; meaning that you should be eating lighter today. Do not take this opportunity to overindulge because you are starting a fast. The fast will be harder if that's the case.
Some of you had asked about working out, and what should one do while doing a fast. A fast is suppose to be a stress free time of reflection and meditation while the body is cleansing. "Working out" is not really in alignment with process. However, that being said, and considering we are all yogis in one level or another; long walks, beginner's yoga, and easy exercises can be practiced throughout the fast. Just be careful and listen to your body. Remember, your body is cleansing itself, and that's the most important goal here.
So good luck! Enjoy the juices and remember to sip slowly and enjoy every moment.

I am really frightened by the prospect of not having an evening meal. Juicing all day is something I am used to. Might need some extra support this evening.

ReplyDeleteTina,the important thing is to stay hydrated. If you do feel the need to have a small meal, you can have a leafy green salad for your dinner. Its important to listen to your body and gauge how you feel. Let me know how it goes. Good luck!!! It usually takes a day or 2 for the hunger to dissipate.
ReplyDeleteFor me the hunger seems to come and go, still have another juice to drink so hoping the first day wil be good. Been drinking ton of water too which for me I have to do after leaving so much on the floor of the yoga room. I do feel a bit weird, but more like thingsa re happening in my body, more liek when I first started juicing
ReplyDeleteDoing the yoga tommorrow morning and Tuesday morning will be most interesting to see what strength is. Will try to not overdo it.

I had a low point now Im back up - feel a certain energy - going to have a sald soon - I have to go out to dinner will be hard to sit thru but I will
ReplyDeleteRandy, once the body becomes cleaner, it will be able to exist on less fuel. Imagine your body like a car. When its new off the lot, it just needs fuel to operate. In our case, that would just be food. But once it starts to get a bit creaky, then you have to take it in to check the oil, add this, adjust that. That's what happens to our bodies when they're polluted; things start to break down, and require medication, surgeries....etc. So if you're feeling more energized on less food-its a good thing!!!
ReplyDeletereally no coffee? I cut from alot to one a day, in the am....didnt have today, could be long day. Did yoga as well, but not much, had a very long chivasana
